New Year, New Look!
Thank you for your continued commitment to our club, community and program. We have been working behind the scenes on updating all club resources and with those changes we are very excited to announce some important club wide re-branding that will go into effect at the conclusion of our Spring 2025 season.
Barrington Area Soccer - Our Past (1992-2015)
In 1992, Barrington Area Soccer Association was established as a local non-for-profit 501(c)(3) community based soccer club and, later in the 90's, FC Barrington became the name of the competitive arm of BASA. Fielding teams across multiple age groups, our club began competing not only across the state, but regionally & nationally. Players were able to represent our community on a larger stage and use our FC Barrington teams as a platform to launch their high school & college careers.
Barrington Area Soccer - Our Present (2015-2025)
A collaboration between multiple clubs led to the “Barrington” being replaced by the “X” and FCX travel was born. Different iterations of logos and names continued to come and go as different teams, clubs, and communities worked together to create travel soccer options for players in our community and surrounding areas. Our competitive teams currently still play under the FCX name.
Barrington Area Soccer and FC Barrington - Our Future (2025 & Beyond)
While we’ve always represented our community on the field, we wanted to go back to our badge representing it off the field as well. We’re excited to re-introduce the FC Barrington name for our competitive travel teams and we figured it's a good time to give the old BASA logo a new look too. Our future is bright and our future is better together. Now our logos represent that. We are excited for our future and we hope so are you!
